Van Cleave Law Announces the 2020 Striving for Justice Scholarship Winner

Van Cleave Law is proud to announce the recipient of the 2020 Striving for Justice Scholarship! This year, we received an overwhelming number of high-quality applications from students dedicated to making a difference in their communities.

Our scholarship applicants were asked to submit an essay detailing how they stand up for others and fight for justice in their local communities. We are honored to support students in their educational journeys and in their pursuit of justice.

Congratulations to Hannah Blair!

We are thrilled to recognize Hannah Blair as this year’s scholarship winner. Beyond her outstanding academic achievements and community service, Hannah deeply impressed us with her dedication to advocating for women who have experienced sexual violence and misconduct.

After overcoming the unimaginable hardship of being a victim of human trafficking, Hannah has devoted herself to helping young women in similar situations and actively advocating for anti-trafficking initiatives. Her passion for justice, resilience, and commitment to making a difference are truly inspiring.

Currently pursuing a Sociology degree at Covenant College, Hannah plans to continue her education by earning a Master’s degree and Doctorate after graduating in the Spring of 2021.

Van Cleave Law is honored to contribute to Hannah’s academic journey and mission to support survivors of human trafficking. We congratulate her on this well-deserved achievement and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make.

The Striving for Justice Scholarship

Van Cleave Law strives to obtain justice for our clients, no matter their situation. When dealing with personal injury cases, we always strive for the best possible results for each specific situation, but what truly drives Christopher Van Cleave is obtaining justice for those affected by injuries or the death of a loved one. 

This year, the Van Cleave Law firm is proud to announce The Striving for Justice Scholarship. This opportunity is for students to explain how they stand up for others and fight for justice in their local community. In the applicant’s essay, they should explain the types of issues they are fighting for and how others can get involved.

The winner of the scholarship will be chosen based on the criteria outlined below and will be awarded $1,000 to help them with the cost of their education.

Scholarship Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for The Striving for Justice Scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled or about to attend an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States
  • Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher

The applicant must then write a 1,000-word essay explaining how they stand up for others and fight for justice in their local community.

Application

A complete application for this scholarship will include:

  • A Resume that includes up to date contact information
  • A current academic transcript (we should clearly be able to see cumulative GPA)
  • A 1,000-word essay

Deadline

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must submit their complete application (resume, transcript, and essay) on or before November 30th, 2020. The winner will be announced shortly after the deadline passes.
